We Are PATT
PATT Supports
PATT fundraising directly supports a wide range of student enrichment programs and community events that bring learning to life and build lasting memories for our students. These extras wouldn’t be possible without family support—and they’re a big part of what makes WHECES such a special place to grow and learn.
Student Enrichment Programs
Enrich LA Gardening
Every student takes part in a hands-on, STEM-based program led by a Ranger from EnrichLA, spending several weeks learning and working in the school garden. The Garden Ranger curriculum is engaging, fun, and interactive. Utilizing the garden, students learn about a wide array of topics, from learning how to care for an organic garden, to learning about the importance of pollinators.
Weekly Physical Education
We provide a dedicated physical education program led by trained P.E. coaches. Funded and hired by PATT, these coaches focus on promoting students’ fitness, health, and overall well-being through engaging activities that encourage movement, teamwork, and lifelong healthy habits.
Butterflies at WHECES
We bring Butterflies to WHECES and each class engages in an interactive & immersive butterfly exhibit. In addition to the kids’ hands-on experience, our teachers lead lesson plans and art to learn more about butterflies, its lifecycle and why they are integral to the ecosystem. We’re so excited to work towards our school becoming a waystation for butterflies and soon recognized as a butterfly conservation site.
Dance Program by SODE
The Dance Program brings movement, music, and cultural exploration to our campus. Students are introduced to a wide range of multicultural dance styles—gaining valuable insight into global traditions, rhythms, and storytelling through movement. The program not only fosters creativity and confidence, but also encourages cultural appreciation and self-expression in a fun, supportive environment.

This exciting event highlights their hard work and creativity as they present music, dance, and theater pieces developed throughout the season. It’s a wonderful celebration of talent, dedication, and artistic growth!
